ERMES is the commemorative knife developed in collaboration with the Helicopter Regiment for Special Operations (R.E.O.S.), which is part of the Italian Army's aviation command. The R.E.O.S. is the operational unit of special forces support helicopters composed of specifically trained personnel, particularly trained and equipped to support military activities in every operational context. The stylized guards of the knife represent the wings present in the heraldic coat of arms of the regiment. It is available in two versions: 'ERMES ORDINANZA' with the satin blade and the ABS case, and 'ERMES OPERATIONAL' with the burnished blade. The steel used is the reliable Bohler N690Co, heat-treated at 58 HRC. The glass fiber-reinforced polyamide FRN (Fiber Reinforced Nylon) polymer was chosen for the handle. The Kydex and woven hybrid sheath is equipped with a belt or belt-fastening with MOLLE interface system.
