Det stål vi använder är ett svenskt pulverstål i världsklass (Elmax) som är noggrant härdat, nedkylt till minus 190°C och sedan anlöpt i två timmar till en hårdhet på HRC 61/62. Det ger ett segt och samtidigt hårt stål som håller skärpan bra utan att vara sprött. Kniven är designad för den som har lite mindre händer, dvs kvinnor, ungdomar, flickor eller för den som helt enkelt föredrar en kniv som är lite mindre i storleken – utan att göra avkall på kvalitén. Tången, dvs den del av bladet som går inne i skaftet, är också bred och kraftig och är synlig i skaftänden. Bladspetsen är förstärkt för att inte gå sönder så lätt. Skulle en millimeter ”försvinna” går det att slipa fram en ny spets. Samma sak med eggen – blir det en eggskada är det inga problem för oss att slipa fram en ny egg. Kniven är kraftigt dimensionerad för att hålla för mycket stora påfrestningar så, om du använder den här kniven med viss eftertanke kommer den hålla hela livet.
